The minutes of the May 5 board meeting were approved as amended (Manos motion,
Wetzel 2nd; voice vote: 5 ayes, no nays or abstentions).

Middlemiss, Wetzel, and Mayhugh attended the NTA conference in Spokane.
They reported on the Digital TV Transition news they gathered there,
particularly about the availability of low-maintenance translator equipment
with analog pass-through capability.

Wetzel reported that new FM radio station KZLU has begun broadcasting at 88.5
MHz with an effective radiated power of 1,000 watts from El Paso Peak.
The licensee is Educational Media Foundation of Rocklin, CA.
KZLU carries EMF's "K-Love" format.
The new signal "swamps" the Booster's low-power rebroadcast of Los Angeles
station KPFK at 88.7 MHz for all but the most highly-capable receivers.
At the moment, the 88.7 transmitter has been left running for the benefit of
those still able to make use of its signal.
A displacement request may be filed.

Middlemiss is continuing to work on a further update to the latest version of
the Boostergram for public distribution, particularly at the Ridgecrest
library.

The board authorized the sale of equipment to be identified as surplus by the
Operations Committee (Cole, Wetzel, and Mayhugh).
In particular, the Day Sequerra units have been found unsuitable for the
Booster's purposes.
